It’s super user-friendly, online, and even has collaborative features, which could be fun if you wanna jam with friends. Plus, they have a bunch of loops and samples which makes starting out much less intimidating.
For Mac users, GarageBand is a good shout, but Logic Pro isn’t the only upgrade path. You might also wanna look at Studio One by PreSonus. Their Prime version is free, so no big commitment, and upgrading is smooth if you outgrow it.
If budget’s tight, Cakewalk by BandLab is actually free and incredibly powerful. And for advanced stuff later on, it’s got everything you’ll need, and it’s surprisingly intuitive for beginners too.
Another choice for electronic enthusiasts could be the Moog Model 15 app. Less of a DAW, more of a soft synth, but diving into modular synthesis early could be incredibly rewarding and educational. Layer it with your DAW later for wicked sound design.
