I’ve been using the Whatsmyname app, and around a week ago, it stopped working properly. Whenever I try to open it, it crashes immediately. I’ve tried restarting my phone and reinstalling the app, but nothing seems to help. Has anyone else faced this issue or know a solution? Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Add in one more thing: if any of you are comfortable with it, try to find the APK of an older version (obviously stay safe and ensure it’s from a trusted source). Not the most elegant solution, but it might get you back in action until the devs release a fix.

So, here’s my wild card: if you have an older device lying around, try installing Whatsmyname on it to see if it crashes there too. Sometimes device-specific issues emerge with new app versions.
As for customer support, it’s undeniably a good step but feels like throwing a bottle into the ocean. I’d also suggest tweeting to their Twitter handle. Social media complaints can expedite responses.
One con with Whatsmyname is its frequent updates that seem to introduce bugs rather than fix them. On the flip side, when it works, it’s quite seamless and user-friendly. But reliability has been a major downside lately.
Competitors like Truecaller and Hiya might be more stable at the moment, but they lack some of the niche functionalities Whatsmyname offers, like customizable alerts.
